IELTS CRASH COURSE
Need IELTS to enter university or for your future career? Make sure you get the best score you can by getting the most professional help. Taking an IELTS Crash Course with Sun English is your first essential step towards success.
This course will have six meetings that will run for two weeks and last for three hours each. It will be divided into two batches.
What can you expect on this course?
At the beginning of the course, instructors meet with students individually to set goals and carry out an assessment. Students are then able to track their progress through weekly practice exams and quizzes.
Many students know that English alone is not enough to prepare them for the IELTS. To succeed on this test, students need specialized skills and strategies.
Focus in placed upon teaching effective exam techniques. Your course will cover:
Writing
You will be taught methods and strategies for successfully completing integrated and independent writing skills.
Speaking
You will learn the speaking skills needed to talk confidently on a number of topics in order to take a one-to-one interview.
Listening
You will be taught listening strategies, such as listening for gist and listening for detail. You will be exposed to various natural English accents.
Reading
You will practice reading a number of authentic academic writings. You will be taught to scan, read for general meaning and details, plus, you will learn how to restate and make inferences, amongst other reading skills.
Support
You will be monitored by your teacher, given feedback while also being assessed on your performance through a number of assignments. You will use authentic test materials to prepare you fully for your test. You will participate in regular sample tests, and prepare for all sections of the IELTS test.
General English Crash Course
With a focus on fluency, the General and Semi-Intensive English courses allow you to improve your English giving you a practical understanding of the language and how to use it. You will focus on the 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will improve your level and maximize your ability to use English.
There will be 12 meetings in two weeks which consist of 12 modules and last for two hours each.
What can you expect on this course?
Real English
Using our teaching methodology, you will learn how English is spoken and used in real-life, day-to-day situations. Focusing on the four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening), you will practice conversation skills along with sharpening your grammar, vocabulary, idioms and pronunciation. Learn the English you need to accomplish your aims. Be understood. Get things done.
Improve your ‘thinking time’
‘Thinking time’ – The time that it takes to listen, understand and respond in English. On our General English course, you will shorten your thinking time, making it quicker for you to respond and improve your fluency.
Topic based lessons
Every lesson you take will be based on a specific topic or theme. The language skills and grammar are taught within the framework of the topic and serve to help you apply everything you have learned in a natural way. Simply put, you will learn the correct English to use in specific situations.
Support
Teachers and academic staff will be on hand to give you ongoing support, encouragement, advice and feedback. SUN English staffs create comfortable and confidence-building classroom environments. The role of our teachers is to steadily guide you to your English language goal.
